The journey began with Hippoman's early contributions, including the first appearance of Waljojo and Walwalwal in the Waligie intro file. Other notable projects include the short-lived Halloween game Waligie Hallowheat, a Christmas game that never made it past the title screen, and the minigame collection WaligieC.

This collection also features every game from the Fat Sonic series, a related series of games by Hippoman and Cutmanmike. The ultimate goal was to cross over with Waligie 3, where Waligie would find Caveman 2035 on Mars. However, this spinoff was left unfinished, featuring only the title screen and opening cutscene.

The development process for Waligie DX was intense, with Hippoman finishing up the game in just 10 days before its release. The final version of WaligieDX.gam is dated September 27th, 2003. This collection includes every development version of Waligie 1, 2, and 3, as well as some individual levels that showcase the evolution of the game.
